Obituary of George Franklin Cole

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George in his 71st year, on April 6, 2011 at the Lennox & Addington Hospital in Napanee, with his family by his side. Son of the late George and Fern Cole. Beloved father of Laurie (Pat) Gartland, Heather (Jeff) Knight and best friend of Dianne Brant. Beloved ''Grandpa George'' to Trevor Gartland, Brad Gartland, Adam (Kerry) Layfield, Ashlee Layfield, Matthew Knight and Tyler Knight. ,Great-Grandpa George to Benjamin, Carson and Alexis. Brother to Shirley (Jim) Graham, Helen Cole, Lois Green, Beverley Boomhour and Roger (Marilyn) Cole. Always remembered and loved by his nieces and nephews and Dianne`s family. Predeceased by his sister Laurine Knapp. Family and Friends will be received on Friday, April 8, 2011 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at McGlade Funeral Home. A private family service will take place at a later time. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in memory of George to the Volunteer Services at Lennox & Addington County Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
