Malcolm Elston & Gail Walker, Lonsdale posted a condolence
Gail and I have very fond memories of Audrey, because she welcomed us into Lonsdale with a big smile when we arrived 20 years ago. She was the village matriarch, always aware and always caring and advising – usually with a big twinkle in her eye – and she was quick to include us. Her years as a practical Public Health nurse, as well as a farm wife and mother, gave Audrey a surprisingly broad outlook and a very calm approach to human foibles... we are sorry to see her pass, but are grateful that we knew her for as many years as we did.

I am truly sad to say goodbye to Audrey. She was my Mom's closest and dearest lifelong friend. She has always been like a second mother to me, I will miss our regular phone calls, she always made me laugh, and her voice sounded like home. She was a ray of sunshine in my life, and I will remember her fondly always.

Donald and family, Jennie, Kalista, and I are so sorry to hear of Audrey's passing. We always enjoyed our visits with her at the farm sharing a cup of tea and catching up. Her beautiful eyes which twinkled when she shared a joke or a laugh reminded me so much of your uncle Edmund's. Kalista and I always said that a part of Kalista's grandpa Edmund lived in Audrey. We will miss her. Sincerely, Jennie Graham, Laura Tyner-Clement and Kalista Clement
