Obituary of Brian Earl Brinklow

BRINKLOW, Brian Earl, died early in the morning September 22, 2020, in his sixty-sixth year, surrounded by his family and upheld in the prayers and good wishes of many friends. Survived by his wife Darlene; children Matthew (Tracy), Nathan (Bradley), Twyla (Michael), and Johanna (Logan); grandchildren Isaac and Ruby, Talia and Micheal, and Holden and Stella; brothers Bob, Rick, Gerry, Dale, Don, Darrell, and Ed; and many nieces and nephews. For many years, Brian owned B.B. Electric and was well-known for his quality work and attention to detail. Many are the family and friends who benefited from Brian’s know-how and ingenuity brought to life through countless projects big and small, often through many hours of labour in his well-appointed garage workshop. Brian was devoted to his family and proudly presided either from the head of the table or his recliner in the family room over family gatherings, especially in the last decade as the clan grew through the births of the grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending as much time as possible on the ATV, at the camp, and in the woods, which is where he was when he sustained an injury from which he could not recover. The family are profoundly grateful to Uncle Gerry and to Harvey and Gloria Conway, who assisted in getting Brian to medical aid. His quiet and gentle presence, often accompanied by a cup of strong tea, and desire always to help, will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends will be received at Smith & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24, 2020 between the hours of 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held with cremation to follow. Due to COVID restrictions all attendees must RSVP directly to the funeral home by phone 613-396-2310 or email mjsmithandson@cogeco.net to obtain a time to see the family on Thursday. Mandatory COVID 19 protocols will be effect including physical distancing outside and inside the funeral home and face masks are required. We ask everyone to remain outside or in your vehicles until your time to see the family.
