So sad to hear of Joans passing. I worked with Joan for many years at Strathcona Paper. I have lots of great memories of the dinners we would have and all the fun we shared . Joan loved life and was so proud of Maggie.
I know she is in heaven singing and riding.

It seems like a lifetime ago since I last saw Joan. In the picture I post is Joan holding her horse, my brother Robert York on the horse and I am the little girl just waiting my turn to sit on her beautiful horse. She would ride around town (Marysville) and would always stop by for a visit. I always saw Joan as the most beautiful girl in the world. I hope this tiny little photo can bring a smile to all your faces. I know it does for me. Rest In Peace dear beautiful lady!

Our sympathy to the Family, I grew up in Marysville and was a neighbour and friend of Joans in our younger years. We spent many childhood days together on the farm and I can confirm her love of horses (me not so much). Many a Sunday was spent accompanying her on outings to riding stables.
