Obituary of Marilyn Maracle
Marilyn Maracle (nee Green)
January 8th 1939 - March 30th 2023
On March 30, 2023, in her 85th year, Marilyn began her journey to the spirit world surrounded by her three children. Predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Glen Maracle. Loving Mother to Debra (Ian), Jo-Jo (Victor) and Gary (Brandi). The most loving Nana and Grandma to 10 grandchildren: Chelsea, Raven, Braden, Taylor-Rain, Eric, Kendall, Kaya, Colsen, Makenna and Jadyn. Predeceased by her parents Sonny and Mabel Green, and brothers Bud and Vern. Amazing sister to Alfie (Earl) Green. She will be loved and missed by many nieces and nephews on the Green and Maracle sides of the family. After living in Montreal and Toronto, Marilyn enjoyed a lengthy 27 yr career at Air Canada Operations, retiring in 2001. Moving back to Tyendinaga after retirement, Marilyn devoted her life to family, friends, and community. Marilyn was a regular at church and volunteered for the Tyendinaga Food Bank. Marilyn enjoyed world travelling, painting, bird watching, gardening, boat watching on the beautiful Bay of Quinte and socializing with friends. In addition to cheering for her grandchildren in multiple sports, her most treasured times were spent with family at her home on the Bay. Her quick wit was legendary and her humour was endless. The love for her children and grandchildren knew no bounds. The words “I love you more” will impact generations to come. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at Lennox & Addington Hospital, Kingston General Hospital, and Tyendinaga Home & Community Care for all of their support and care throughout the years. All of their care and compassion was felt and greatly appreciated. Visitation and Service with be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 1295 Ridge Road, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory on Saturday April 8th with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00am with the Service immediately following at 11:00am.
