Obituary of Norma Sharon Maracle

Norma Sharon Maracle – December 12, 1944 – May 7, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Granny. Mother to Scott & Hunny, Suzanne & Brent, and Daughter/Niece Sandy. Granny to Ian & Jamie, Malory & Mark, Brenna, Chrystal, Colin & Mary Clare. Great Granny to Jadyn, Easton and Reagan. Survived by her loving sister Marion Thomas and Sister, Daughter, Best Friend Carol Thomas, her sister in her heart Donna Spencer and Caroline Brant and Special Sister-in-Law Wilma Maracle. Special Auntie Momma to Cody and Casey and Great Auntie Momma to Logan. She will be greatly missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews especially Kelly, Sé, Mauve and Evie who knew Norma as Gran. Predeceased by her parents Sheridan & Geraldine Maracle, Husband & Best Friend Laverne Fish Maracle, Brothers Jerry, George and Carman, Brothers in Law Dave & Sherwood (Bunny) Thomas. Granny leaves behind many broken hearts as she loved all her friends and family, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to BGH Stroke and Rehab Unit Sills Floor 3 and the palliative care team for all your heartfelt care to Norma and family. We want to thank everyone for stopping in to see Granny when she came home and for all the love, care and of course, the nurturing food.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Celebration of Life to be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m in All Saints Church, TMT.  Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.  For those, who wish memorial donations may be made to The Anglican Parish of Tyendinaga (All Saints Church) in memory of Norma.
