Obituary of Eldon Howard Maracle

Maracle, Eldon “Sonny”
On Monday, August 5, 2024 Sonny passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Lennox & Addington County General Hospital in Napanee at the age of 84.
Father to Kevin (Sue), Holly and Jen. Grandpa to Emily, Brooke (Carter), Keturah, Grace (Clay), Josh (Madelyn), Isaac (Rebekah), Sarah (Riley), Jake, Melody, Levi, Luke, Cole and Casey and Great Grandpa to Austin, Brooke, El, and Rosie.  He is survived by his siblings Orla, June, Tommy (Theresa), Molly, Geraldine, Carmen and sisters in law Joy and Linda. He was predeceased by his parents Albert & Mary, and siblings Alvin/Banty (Maggie), Louis, Jake, Ralph/Raz and Mary. 
He will be dearly missed by his family and all his many friends from his extensive social activities.
We would like to thank all the people who helped Sonny over these last years, as well as the programs from the Tyendinaga Home & Community Care, Ontario Health at Home, Friendly Manor Nursing Home, L&A County General Hospital, Providence Care Hospital, and the Kingston General Hospital.
In keeping with Sonny’s wishes cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to remember Sonny on Thursday August 15 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home at 78 Centre Street, Deseronto. We will then gather for a light lunch at the Deseronto Legion Branch 280 (downstairs) immediately following the visitation. Accessible entrance is at the back of the building via Water Street. 
For those that wish, or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Deseronto Legion Branch 280 or the Tyendinaga Home & Community Care, TMT in memory of Sonny.
