Obituary of Elwood Brant

Brant, Elwood D. ‘Pewee’ Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, September 26, 2015 in his 93rd year. Cherished husband and best friend of Myrtle for 69 years. Loving father of Roderick Brant (Bonnie) and Kevin Brant (Connie). Predeceased by his daughters Connie Brant and Yvonne E. Brant. Treasured grandpa of Lance, Shannon, Casey, Jessica, April and great grandpa of Taylor, Ela, Summer-Sage and Kaliska. Dear brother of William, Alexander, Gordon, Stanley, John, Bernadette. Elwood will never be forgotten by his many nieces and nephews. Elwood was a WW2 Veteran and served overseas from 1943-1946 he then worked 32 years at Bakelite, Union Carbide in Belleville and he was a member of the Deseronto Legion Branch #280. Family and Friends will be received at McGlade Funeral Home, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00p.m. Cremation will take place following the visitation. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in All Saints Church, TMT. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the All Saints Church or the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Elwood.
